LOL: Hammers claim World Cup victory at OS

W 1966est Ham fans have often been ridiculed for claiming they won the World Cup in 1966 courtesy of the Hammers trio of Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Martin Paters. Today that went one step further when a giant claret colour Jules Rimet trophy with the words ‘World Cup Winners 1966  Captain Bobby Moore’ written in white letters was revealed at the Olympic Stadium.

The image was posted on social media by Image Technique who have been helping West Ham with their West-Hamification project at the former Olympic Stadium.  The Worcestershire company describe themselves as the ‘Market leader in the implementation of corporate branded environments’

Other West Ham branded items they have been responsible for include the giant West Ham shirts with the names of Bobby Moore, Billy Bonds, Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Trevor Brooking and Dimtri Payet on them plus a giant pair of crossed hammers.

  1. I hope this is a hoax…It is bad enough having 1 MonkeysBellend at the club; this would make the WHOLE club a MonkeysBellend!….But that’s just my opinion, of course

  2. Wrong. Just plain wrong.
