West Ham are hopeful for Mohammad Kudus
West Ham are hopeful Mohammad Kudus will be involved in the game against Burnley at the weekend despite a “hugely tiring ” flight back from Africa following Ghana’s international break. An official statement on the club site appeared to claim that he might join Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen as an absentee from the game declaring the three missed matches for their respective countries on international duty due to injury. Having returned to West Ham, the club will assess their respective injuries.”
We were also told earlier in the week that he had suffered similar problems over recent weeks and that long flights were aggravating as far as back injuries were concerned and wouldn’t help but this afternoon the club told Claret and Hugh seemed pretty confident the 24 was hopefully ok for the match.
We were told: ” It was a very long journey of course and the boy was dead on his feet when landing but he will rally hopefully and be fit for the game at Turf Moor.”
The Hammers will be looking for a decent win over the Clarets to improve a minus one goal difference and could move into eighth place above Brighton should they do so if the south coast team are beaten at Nottingham Forest.
West Ham likely team: Areola, Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Emerson; Alvarez, Soucek, Paqueta Ward-Prowse Kudus, Ings (but hopefully Mubama)
