West Ham are recruiting more SLO’s

SLOWest Ham are looking for a permanent full time Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO) in addition to another 20-30 match Day SLO’s

Jake Heath who has experience as a SLO at both Spurs and Arsenal joined West Ham late last year as the new Supporter Services Manager. He later added a full time assistant, Eugene who was a SLO at Arsenal and is a West Ham supporter.

Jake is now looking to add a third member to the SLO full time team in a role they call a ‘Supporter Services Executive’. The vacancy which is listed on WHUFC.com is thought to pay £22,000 per annum with 25 days annual leave, pension, life insurance and healthcare cash plan.

The role says: “An exciting opportunity has arisen in the West Ham United Marketing and Communications department for a Supporter Services Executive.
The experience and service that our supporters receive when they attend a
match or contact the Club with questions is hugely important to us. The
successful candidate will demonstrate a real passion for delivering that
service, and improving that experience.

Candidates will need to be flexible with hours and available to work all of West
Ham’s home fixtures throughout the football season, including some
weekends, evenings and public holidays.

The ideal candidate will need to have a strong background and interest in
customer services or event administration and ideally have an understanding
of what is required to deal with supporters in a professional sporting
environment.”

West Ham are hoping to also have 30 part time SLO’s in place for next Wednesday’s Manchester City game. The club are hoping to add another twenty or thirty to this total by the end of the season.

The paid role which will paid at least London Living Wage (£9.75 per hour) will pay around £78 per match based on an eight hour shift.

The vacancy says: “West Ham United Football Club, in partnership with London Stadium, are creating a team of Supporter Liaison Officers who will responsible for providing all supporters with information and assisting with feedback, enquiries and complaints on all first team home matchdays. We aim is to ensure that all supporters at London Stadium have a memorable experience and the successful candidates will play a key role in delivering the best service possible. Supporter Liaison Officers will be positioned inside and outside of the Stadium and will be at hand to help, offering a friendly-face, accurate information and support to all who attend a West Ham United match at London Stadium.”   More information here
