Nuno refuses to be dragged into Brady debate
West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo has swatted away attempts to draw him into the Karren Brady debate ahead of Saturday’s crucial game against Everton.
The Hammers boss faced the media knowing exactly what was coming after a chaotic week—even by West Ham’s standards. With a full squad available, he would no doubt have preferred to talk about the match or his players, but inevitably, questions turned to Brady’s resignation.
It might have been a little cheeky from the journalists, but you can’t blame them for asking.
Nuno keeps it simple and focused
What impressed me was how Nuno handled it.
No fuss, no drama—just a straight bat before metaphorically hoofed it into Row Z . . . Konstantinos Mavropanos and Disasi would have been proud.
“My job is to prepare the boys, especially to face Everton,” was the gaffer’s response.
Full focus needed with Everton test looming
And he’s absolutely right.
It’s going to take all of his man-management skills to keep the players focused on David Moyes’ visit to the London Stadium and block out the noise surrounding Brady’s departure and the wider ownership situation.
Personally, I think he’s just the man for the job.
Just how it should be concentrate on what’s happening on the pitch.
Winning is most important at the moment.
Not what suits are doing or other teams.
This debate will be going on long after end of season.
Well done Nuno.
