West Ham Exclusive From Claret & Hugh

West Ham United fans — and in particular Nuno Espírito Santo — have been reeling from recent reports suggesting January signing Pablo would miss the remainder of the season.

The £20 million forward arrived from Gil Vicente FC and came on as a substitute against Burnley, before disappearing from view amid claims he’d suffered a serious injury that could rule him out for months.

However, Claret & Hugh spoke this morning to a top London Stadium source who offered a far more encouraging update.

When asked directly whether Pablo would miss all of West Ham’s remaining fixtures, our insider replied simply:

“No — not the remainder of the season.”

Pablo will return before the end of the season

Big Lift for Nuno as Pablo Return Expected

That will come as welcome news for Nuno, who had quickly made Pablo a central part of his system.

The striker was beginning to form a promising partnership with Taty Castellanos, and his absence had threatened to derail plans during a crucial stage of the campaign.

While no exact return date has been given, the fact Pablo is now expected back in claret and blue before the season ends is a significant boost — particularly with attacking options already stretched.

Morning Sean, This Top London Stadium source, is it anything to do with West Ham United, or as you say Top London Stadium, a member of the stadium staff. Please say whether its a WHU source or a stadium source. I know what you mean. Why not just say a Top West Ham source.
