West Ham United are set to be without a key player when they face Burton Albion in Saturday lunchtime’s FA Cup tie.
Claret & Hugh spoke with a top London Stadium source this morning to clarify the injury situation following the Premier League draw with Manchester United.
We were informed that neither Jarrod Bowen nor Crysencio Summerville were substituted due to injury concerns.
However, when we asked whether £20m striker Pablo would be available for the FA Cup, the response was blunt: “No, unfortunately not.”
Summerville Fine as Pablo Sidelined
At this stage, no return date has been given for Pablo.
The good news is that Summerville appears to be showing no ill effects following his collision with United full-back Diogo Dalot, easing fears over another potential attacking absence.
Still, losing a striker ahead of a cup tie is far from ideal — especially with West Ham finally building momentum.
Pablo missed the 1-1 draw with Manchester United with injury and was seen limping in his substitute appearance in the previous game against Burnley.

Why don’t we take Antonio back, he may only be useful for 15-30 minutes a game but will give us some physicality up top.
Much rather him than Sterling and also we should get Lingard in, both players are game changers.
Which is more important a cup run or premier league survival?
Agree with most comments field majority of U21s.
What is Burton’s ground like if secondary and likely to cause injuries can’t take chances.
There’s some tough league games on the horizon and all man power will be need.
Whu/Nuno should have had some foresight before agreeing to loans.
Marshal and Earthy could backup U21 and main team bad decision.
It was rumoured Lammard was going to play last week give him a run out.i
Main squad will need all protection they can get for next 12 weeks.
Staying up or cup run , no contest , focus on staying up . At the end of the season it’s likely that 3 points or less will separate 17th from 18th position . If Westham progress through round 4 of the FA cup , Premier League matches will be postponed during future rounds creating fixture congestion for Westham . Injuries of course are a disaster , but playing 3 matches in 8 days adversely impacts player performances . Against Burton start with Traore in order that Nuno can judge how inept he is and not play him again . Traore is not like a dog that can run and run , he can only manage short bursts of speed and so unless played as CF against a high line is useless for Nuno’s energetic high press system . Westham should start with a lot of the usual bench warmers .
I think we should play a few of our bench warmers this Saturday.Give our regulars a rest and protect them from injury!
Maybe it is perhaps a chance to rest Bowen and Summerville have them on the bench and give our new wonder signing that everyone is raving about a chance
and maybe some of the other youngsters on the bench
I know we want to keep the momentum going but at the same time we need to look at others incase of injuries
If Pablo was the only ‘striker’ in our team and there was no other way of scoring then we should be worried.
However, we do not need to use our new explosive tactics to beat Burton. We should win this tie comfortably. We could even win this with no forwards at all.
We still need to apply ourselves and do a job. It is very unlikely to be a stroll, but class should win out.
We should not throw away the chance to win the FA Cup by fielding a young, inexperienced shadow team just going through the motions. That is why we have U21 side. This is a must win game.
Great to give Pablo and Disasi a rest. Keep them in rude health for the Bournemouth match.
COYI
For once the draw has been kind to us however now is not the time for a cup run. We have 12 cup finals to play in the league with a small squad. I would be disappointed if any of the eleven who started on Tuesday played
Pablo has been carrying a knock, even if he was fit would be ludicrous to risk him as need him for the Prem games. Probably just cautionary. One for Traore or Lewis Orford.
So nobody can tell us what injury Pablo Felipe has?
Not important. Give the kids/reserves some game time. None of the key first team players should be anywhere near this game with Bournemouth the week after
Frankly if anyone has any injury concerns they should be rested for this game. We shouldn’t need the entire first eleven to win this’
Burton will be looking to kick bollock and bite anyone in a west ham shirt and make names for themselves it’s going to.need a very careful team selection.
