West Ham apparently are reportedly back in the hunt for one of their major midfield targets, having seemingly lost out to Serie A opposition last week. Reported by Claret and Hugh, the Irons were hoping to capitalise on talks which looked stalled between Napoli and AC Milan.

It now appears that the transfer of midfielder Yunus Musah is very much back on – the Hammers are reported in todays’ team talk.com as being back in the race:

“Amid uncertainty over Musah’s switch to Napoli, TEAMtalk can reveal that West Ham have started looking into the 22-year-old’s situation….At first, Milan gave this deal a verbal green light, only to change their demands. Milan now want that €25m fee plus add-ons before selling to Napoli.”

Fairly typical transfer comings and goings may well leave an opening for the Hammers.

But of course the usual problem this window is that West Ham have to sell before buying. Instead of just steaming in and signing the player in the style of Tim Steidten, the Hammers have to sit on the sidelines biding their time until sales are confirmed.

Which is a big cold wet dampener on any of these ‘reports’: More than likely the list of targets is simply a write-on, wipe-off whiteboard on Kyle Macaulay’s office wall with new targets being written up as fast as existing ones are lost, owing to the board’s stance that West Ham having no money and must sell players before bringing in new squad members.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970.. Don't take my comments too seriously, imagine we are having a chat at half time over a pint at L S and "let's disagree without falling out".

Just wait until David Sullivan gets into the negotiations then.

Be so many verbal agreements and demand changes that the heat death of the universe will happen before anything comes close to progressing.

Lol, if he thinks Napoli are dragging their, wait until he gets a taste of how we do business. He’ll be picking up his free bus pass before we put a bid in.
