With the news that David Moyes is back in management at Everton, sites and writers were clear to speculate about the ‘threat’ to West Ham from Everton who will be intent upon spending their way out of relegation. (Congratulations, Moyesie, by the way.)

Speculation has already started that Everton will be preparing their list of targets – with Hammers’ Moyes recruits at the top. These would include, of course, Hammers’ Jarrod Bowen who clearly loves Moyesie.

Just remember the genuinely touching words Jarrod Bowen used before Moyes’ last game at London Stadium (mirror.co.uk):

“Scoring 20 goals this season, being player of the season, England caps, winning a trophy… none of it would have been possible if the gaffer hadn’t brought me here in the first place…He showed faith to bring me here from Hull – signing players from the Championship always seems frowned upon for some reason – and over the last four years we’ve had some great days and made some great memories…What he’s done for this club speaks for itself”.

However, fear not. Bowen’ll be going nowhere: Injured in any case until after the closure of the winter transfer window, the West Ham captain and all round superhero would be beyond even Everton’s reach at a reputed £100 million plus. And I suspect his soon-to-be father in law would never speak to him again, so calm down on that scare story.

Other West Ham outlets today suggest the ‘worry’ that Everton will come calling for Tomas Soucek and Vlad Coufal, Moyes’ two “Czech boys”.

Moyes’ modern day Marouane Fellaini – Tomas Soucek

Good!

£30 million for Soucek will sit nicely, thanks David (the same that you paid for James Ward Prowse – what a deal that was.) Now I am a big Tomas Soucek fan. Love the guy to bits. But I don’t think he’s a Potter choice anyway, and say £35 million for the pair would be decent ‘midfielder upgrade’ money and would be a bit of a shakedown: We do know Moyes likes to overpay for ‘mature’ players. (Mind you, ahem – Niclas Fullkrug: Obvs Moyes isn’t the only one!)

‘Big Sou’ has probably seen his best days at London Stadium and, like Edson Alvarez, needs to be moved on for better, more skilful and mobile midfielders.

So come, David, walk right this way. Have we got a deal for you!

20 million for Ings hahah. What world are you living in.

Why would Pickford sign for West Ham when he can go to a big club.

Hopefully Wee Davey will come calling for Danny Ings (£20million) and take Aaron Cresswell back home to replace the Coleman. Really don’t want a player exchange. He can keep Jordan Pickford forever.

Soucek and Coufal have a few more years of good, solid service at West Ham in them yet.

We should treasure and appreciate these boys rather than want them replaced with a couple of flakey divas.

Jarrod Bowen is loving life working at West Ham United. He’s not going anywhere else.

£20 million for Danny Ings? If only Taffy. Only scored 1 goal this season and a total of 4 goals in the Premiership plus 1 in the Conference League in the last 2 and a half seasons since he joined us!

Coufal – great servant to the club but sadly not up to Premiership level any more so he can have them both if he makes a good offer.

  • Darkhorse says:

You can have Ings and Cresswell Moyes

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

I doubt Potter will let Soucek go, he is a genuine leader, the team is short on character, him Bowen, Fabianski, Kilman, AWB the rest are flakes

  • Trevor says:

    Bowen – 100 million!
    Soucek – 30 million!

    You are delusional hahah

  • Garry crawford says:
