West Ham and Southampton are eyeing Hull City’s attacking star Jaden Philogene for the summer transfer window. The Hammers have a strong relationship with the Championship club, having previously acquired Jarrod Bowen and negotiated for Keane Lewis-Potter.

The 22-year-old Philogene is considered one of the most exciting young prospects in the country after a standout season at the MKM Stadium.

Joining Hull from Aston Villa on transfer deadline day last summer, Philogene quickly established himself as one of the Championship’s best players. He scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 32 outings, helping Hull narrowly miss out on the play-offs.

His impressive form has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs and some European sides. Philogene was also rewarded for his performances with a call-up to the England U21 squad.

Tim Steidten is currently in Europe scouting for West Ham and it is believed the club are close to lodging a formal bid for a striker.
