West Ham’s Two Transfer Birds With One Stone

It would appear West Ham are close to solving their search for a goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach, according to the latest update from ExWHUEmployee.

The Hammers are said to be on the brink of appointing Casper Ankergren as their new goalkeeping coach. Ankergren previously worked with Graham Potter during their time together at Brighton.

Former coach Xavi Valero left his role at the end of last season after seven years at West Ham, having survived multiple managerial changes during his spell at the club.

Ex’s report also suggests the club are showing interest in Leicester City’s Mads Hermansen, who worked with Ankergren at Brøndby. The 24-year-old Danish U21 international has made 70 appearances for the Foxes since joining in 2023.

Aaron Ramsdale has been frequently linked with a move to East London, but at a reported £20 million, a deal always seemed unlikely—especially with West Ham juggling several other transfer priorities.

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Sometimes feature on BBC Radio 5 Live and once ate a biscuit in Tony Gales shed.

Connoisseur of salted caramel doughnuts and I love a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza although I'm slightly suspicious where the name came from.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.
