West Ham coach is devastated

|

West Ham academy coach Mark Philips says he is devastated by the new rules that forbid mixing with love ones outside of each household on Christmas day within tier four areas.

Philips took to social media over the weekend to say that the prime ministers  announcement had been one of the worst days of his life.

Philips says he hadn’t seen his son for nine long months explaining he is non verbal so he can’t speak to him to explain the situation. Philips said he had everything in place for his son to come home in a Christmas bubble for five days with isolation planned on his return.

Philips added ‘Please don’t moan to me about not being able to go down the pub’

His plight is likely echoed by many families around the country unable to see their love ones over Christmas but the Philip’s family tale seems particularly sad and many West Ham supporters thoughts will be with him and his family.
