West Ham are making a strong statement ahead of the transfer window, indicating that they will not be easily pressured into selling their key players for less than their value.
The club has made it clear that they have no intention of selling Lucas Paqueta or Mohammed Kudus on the cheap. Both players are valued at £85 million each, totalling £170 million for both, with no discounts offered.
Paqueta’s £85 million release clause becomes active on July 1, and any potential sale will depend on the FA concluding their investigation and a club meeting the release clause.
Meanwhile, Kudus’ release clause will not be activated until July 1, 2025. Therefore, any transfer in this window would require a bid significantly higher than £85 million, which would also need approval from Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui.
This stance aligns with what Claret & Hugh’s top source at the club revealed last week. It is also consistent with recent reports from renowned insider journalist Fabrizio Romano, who stated that it would take an exceptionally high offer, well above the buyout clause, to tempt Kudus away to Liverpool.
There are 11 players plus substitutes in a side , says a lot . None of the current westham side have been consistent, some actually consistently bad . Did the team go to the k Phillips lecture about getting high money and do nothing in return ! Maybe providing services under false pretences is fraud
I suppose if City or any of the limitless money clubs come in they will go. Paqueta especially though, at least at West Ham, has been hot and cold. Would West Ham pay £85 million for him now? He might be more consistent at a club with better players and played in his right position however if we need the money we should take it. Kudus is different – he’s totally committed every game and we will be a much lesser team without him. Ideally try and keep both though as the new coach hopefully will get more out of Paqueta especially.
Got to slap big buy out stop the top lot from cherry picking
Spot on if we need to go forward as a club
