Fancy grabbing a trip stateside this summer to ‘accidentally’ find yourself in a city where West Ham are involved in a summer tournament? Treat the family to a holiday in New Jersey, Chicago or Atlanta and ‘totally co-incidentally’ find your favourite Claret and Blue first team just happen to be playing in the Premier League’s summer tournament.

Along with Bournemouth, Everton and Manchester United, the Hammers have now been confirmed as participants in the Premier League’s summer series between 26th July and 3rd August.

According to the premierleague.com the “Summer Series 2025 will kick off on Saturday, 26 July at MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey, when Everton take on AFC Bournemouth, and Man Utd face West Ham.

The four teams then head to Soldier Field, in Chicago, for West Ham v Everton and Man Utd v Bournemouth on Wednesday, 30 July.

The final leg of the tournament will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, in Atlanta, on Sunday, 3 August, when Bournemouth play West Ham and Man Utd face Everton.”

West Ham under Graham Potter will no doubt be considering bringing loaned-out players Nayef Aguerd, Freddie Potts and George Earthy back into the main squad so they’ll all be out to impress the Hammers’ manager during this summer series. With a bit of luck there might be a new striker signing to celebrate and enjoy but August too – or am I being overly optimistic?

I believe the games will be televised in the USA “NBC Sports, the Premier League’s longtime broadcast partner in the US, will be the host broadcaster for the Summer Series across NBCUniversal’s networks and Peacock” – but arrangements for showing the games in the UKL aren’t finalised yet. In any case, five or six-hour time delay means we’ll be burning the midnight oil again to report on the games for you.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Money talks I guess and I’m sure many will tell me that politics and sport don’t mix but I for one would rather we weren’t heading to the US this summer.

Pity there’s no Up Ticks option, because I totally agree. Also, being a miserable ol’ un… what about the environment?! 4 teams plus staff!
I’ll get off my high horse now! 😜
