Winning at last. The first of many?
PSR could be affecting our transfer expenditure although that is supposed to be finishing this year isn’t it? If not the caution could be that PSR is less in the Championship and we are preparing for relegation
They wonder why there hated so much. The day they leave it will feel like winning the prem league to us
I’m no financial guru, but maybe for the club it is safest to be cautious financially. Club have cleared out players who were not going to play while Paqueta was not in a fit state and has gone home. I know everyone says go for broke, but best players are not available in January, but nevertheless somebody unearthed Pablo & Taty who have transformed WHU. Lamadrid is being hailed as a find and given his experience of playing senior football, could he make it into the 1st team? We do have academy players around the 1st team as welll as Magassa and I assume they are there to help the squad through the season and if so they have earned it, are pretty good players and will fight for the badge.
Disasi is a no-nonsense defender who can do the basics well and we also have Paco Jimez to help defensively and with coaching overall.
Maybe if we splash the cash and overspend, we still go down and are in an even worse situation. Pity no young CB though, who would play now and next season, etc.
Subtract 100m as the cost of being relegated….
Hmm. So if we’re pleading poverty, Craig Dawson is available on a free, as is Dmitri Payet on the free agent list. Could we?
Appalling. The board’s intentions laid bare for all to witness.
So you’d have been more happy if we went £50 – £100m in the red this window?
So not balancing the squad. More like balancing the books.
