West Ham deny midfielder interest

|

Denis Zakaria

West Ham United will not be bringing Swiss international Denis Zakaria to the club on Monday in a deal reported to be worth £17 million

TuttoSport had claimed that to be the case and we revealed we would be checking  with our own sources when drawing attention to it here yesterday (Sat).

The story that we were claiming to sign the Juventus midfielder has been doing the rounds for several weeks but the Hammers appear to have only a moderate interest in him.

He was thought to be one of the major signings the club would make over the transfer window but our source explained that is not the case.

He was at Chelsea on loan last season but failed to impress and there will be no quick return to the Premier League with West Ham.

Our top source explained: “We are of course aware of all the rumours concerning the player but they are not true.”
