West Ham executive director Tara Warren is stepping down at the end of this year after 17 years at the club.

The news was confirmed on companies’ house website today when a document was published announcing her directorship of West Ham United Football Club has been terminated.

Her journey at West Ham started in 2009 when she joined the club as marketing director before being promoted to her role as executive director in 2014, a position she has held for 11 years.

Seen widely as Karren Brady’s right hand woman, she was responsible for marketing, communications, commercial, digital, data and corporate affairs at the club with titles as Chief Marketing Officer.

Earlier this year she became responsible for strategy, regulatory compliance and executive oversight of the Women’s team.

She resigned on her own terms with the best wishes of the West Ham board to pursue other career opportunities.

She is already a non-executive director of the British Horseracing Authority.
