West Ham earn £126.4m from Premier League season

With West Ham finishing in tenth place it is now possible to calculate the Premier League TV money they will receive this for the completed season.

Each Premier League club automatically gets an equal share from the TV rights fund worth £84.4m each

The remaining funds are split between merit payments based on your final league position and facility fees based on how many games are broadcast live on UK TV by Sky and BT Sports.

The Hammers have had more games broadcast live this season with 17 matches shown on UK TV bringing in a further £20.8m.

The tenth place finish will earn a merit payment of £21.2m meaning West Ham are likely to earn £126.3m this season.

Last season West Ham earned £118.6m based on a 13th place finish and 15 games live on UK TV so it is an improvement of £7.7m.

Chelsea did West Ham no favors in failing to beat Leicester City this afternoon meaning both West Ham and Leicester finished on 52 points with the Foxes having a better goal difference.
