West Ham Transfer Exclusive

West Ham have this morning completed the transfer of Mads Hermansen from Leicester City, Claret & Hugh can reveal.

Moments ago, we spoke to a source at the London Stadium who confirmed the news:

“Yes, the deal is done. Registration is finished.”

Hermansen completed his medical yesterday without any issues and now joins West Ham in a deal worth a reported £18m.

Media duties have already been completed, although the Danish goalkeeper is not expected to feature in today’s friendly against Lille.

A West Ham source has confirmed Hermansen’s signing

The Hammers had been negotiating with Leicester for two weeks, with Graham Potter described as “determined” to land his first-choice target. The signing addresses one of West Ham’s major problem positions, with the 25-year-old set to go straight into contention for the No.1 spot.

The move is being hailed as something of a bargain, given Hermansen’s reported £25m valuation. Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League is understood to have played a key role in driving the price down.

job done now for Fernandes and that would see us on the up

Yeah I agree about top half finish! There’s been so much talk of our poor midfield that our awful defensive performance/record last season seems to have gone unnoticed???? We were shocking and it was a mixture of crap defending and even worse goal keeping? Some of Areola’s mistakes should be investigated for gambling/misconduct (joking), but seriously we’ve addressed these 2 problems areas now and Diouf looks the real deal, hopefully another AWB in the making, just need a younger/hungry striker and midfielder and I think we will surprise people. Can’t wait for the season to start COYI⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️

Strikers are OK. Just need the boys behind them to move the ball forward. We don’t want our strikers having to drop deep all of the time. We’ve done that for years and it doesn’t look good. Play that allows Niclas and Jarrod to get twenty goals each is much better than hoping Tomas and Lucas can get their seven apiece.

Let the dynamite explode. Light the fuse. COYI⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️

Let’s hope he lives up to all the hype about how good he is fingers crossed he will be a great addition to the team we certainly need a confident keeper one that commands his area and gives defenders the kick up the arse if they don’t do their job properly he certainly gives the impression that he will be a top keeper for years to come

Good signing, now to the others and we may yet be competitive this season.

Everyone is predicting we will finish 16th this season. I can’t see it. I think we’ll be better than last year defensively and u think we’ll score goals. I can only see a top half finish.
