West Ham may have a problem on their hands as the club prepare for the January transfer window.
New boss Nuno Espirito Santo has begun the process of discovering which players will form part of his Hammers squad and which heāll look to move on.
And one of those thought most likely to depart the London Stadium is Guido Rodriguez, who appears to have no future under the new West Ham boss.

Even though Nuno has only taken charge of two games since succeeding Graham Potter, he has given plenty of hints that Rodriguez is not part of his plans.
The Argentinian has only made the bench on one occasion, despite TomĆ”Å” SouÄek being suspended. Espirito Santo has instead used Freddie Potts and Andy Irving as midfield substitutes, which strongly suggests there will be no game time for Rodriguez.
However, Hammers bosses will not find it easy to offload the midfielder, who seems perfectly happy to stay put in East London.
Speaking to an agent this lunchtime, Claret & Hugh were told: āRodriguez had five interested clubs in the summer but didnāt want to move.ā
āOne offer from Saudi would have given him an extra Ā£30k per week, but he said no.ā
This response came after C&H asked whether West Ham were likely to move on certain players in the winter transfer window. Our source added:
āTheyāll have to move players on, but you canāt force someone out if he doesnāt want to go. Their recruitment has been a real mess. They hardly ever make a profit on players.ā

Of course he doesnāt want to move he knows he can sit on his arse and pick up a big wage packet for doing so you would have thought the board would have learned a lesson with what Danny ings did only leaving when he had to go itās a complete farce there should be some recourse for clubs in this position because itās not just West Ham that have these problems it should be if the player doesnāt keep to their side of the deal by being up to the job they were brought in to do then the club should be able to rip up the contract and the player can go elsewhere either way he should not receive another penny from the club
He did not force West Ham to give him a contract and when called he has done his best. Nice work if you can get it but he can’t be blamed for not wishing to go somewhere not attractive to him. I wouldn’t go to Saudi Arabia to work and live. Even if I wanted to, my family would be less than impressed and would wave me goodbye never to be seen again.
Only two games into the Nuno era. There is time yet to find a place in the squad for this classy player.
Pay zilch for managers and you’re still paying for them months and years along the line.
Nobody would have appointed Lopetegui, and nobody would have brought Rodiguez in on a high wage and probably not at all.
The only question is who is slower of Rodriguez, JWP or Soucek with only Soucek having other worthwhile aspects to his game.

Aināt that the truth that recruitment is a mess, Kyle McCauley gone and supposedly Maximillian Hahn off too so not likely to improve any time soon.
If West Ham officials sign up to stupid contracts that leave them with no room to maneuver, especially if that player does not deliver on their half of any contract, then they deserve all they get. If the contracts do not define the requirements of the club as well as those of the player, then it’s about damn time they did, so that clubs cannot be held to ransom by lazy over the hill players that want a free ride.
