West Ham Exclusive: Irons Insider Ignites Spurs Deal

Tottenham Hotspur appear to have refuted suggestions that they’re out of the race to sign West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus.

It had been assumed that Spurs’ pursuit of Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey signalled the end of their interest in the Ghanaian, but that no longer seems to be the case.

Breaking reports now suggest that Tottenham remain firmly in the mix, with a West Ham source telling Claret & Hugh: “It could happen.”

Earlier today, social media was awash with speculation that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is ready to ditch his long-standing, self-imposed policy of not dealing with West Ham. If true, that could open the door to a rare bit of business between the London rivals.

The Hammers are desperate to generate funds from outgoing transfers to kickstart what has been a painfully slow summer window. Interest in the 24-year-old Kudus has been far more subdued than hoped, with most of the early suitors having dropped out.

Still, there now appears to be a renewed sense of optimism—at least externally—that a deal might be possible. As for West Ham, it’s clear they’ve not given up hope of selling Kudus, even if it means doing business with Tottenham.

One to watch.

I wonder how much the board earns a week, shurly they could drop a few quid in the pot. After all they sit back and rob my club every week

Can’t keep who doesn’t want to be kept

Listen money talks , as much as I don’t want that as a fan we need the money . We really need to start buying we look a shambles at present . Let’s get players in the board need to back Potter . We can judge then after 10 games

I can’t agree with Bennyboy I’m afraid, my opinion on the Kudus situation is different. I don’t think he wants to be at the club and prefers a move. Whilst I am not a fan of the board that is not their fault. Kudus underperformed last season for whatever reasons. I would go for Harvey Elliott with the money from a kudus sale. Summerville should be back hopefully to play wide left. We need a keeper and a decent left back. Our goals conceded through mistakes in those positions last season were horrendous along with our midfield giving the ball away with bad passes when winning matches cost us around 15pts.

Funny how a player that Spuds may want and Levy is open to dealing with us. It’s a no from me, but then I’m not running the club into the ground!!

I thought Rice joining Arsenal was bad enough but Kudus going to the yids….ffs. ..this club really is tin pot

  • Bennyboy baker says:

If kudus is to leave then it has to be any club apart from spurs that’s the last place we want to see him go to if there is any way of keeping him then we should be pulling out all the stops to make that happen selling players like kudus is a big step backwards it shows the owners have no ambition to take the club to another level upwards that is unlike the downward road we seem to be on with near enough every player up for sale it will see us relegated next season we need new owners ones that have a vision and ambition to see our great club fulfill it’s true potential

  • Kenny Irons says:

We don’t sell to Tottenham, period.
Tell those clowns who pose as our board to put their hands in their pockets!

  • Jamie Hickman says:

Not sure how selling a prized asset to Spurs for a knockdown price can somehow be spun as a positive by ‘club sources’

  • Al says:

Selling one of our best players to a rival rather than the owners put their own money into the club is criminal. Sullivan out.

  • Jay boy says:

This is desperation dealing with those low life’s! I wouldn’t deal with them has Sullivan no pride whatsoever? He’s a talented player no question and to sell him at a knockdown price to our arch rivals stinks!!! I’m so dissalutioned with my team we are on a downward trajectory that’s going to get us RELEGATED unless something drastic changes quickly?

  • Hammer56 says:

If that happens then I will not go to any more games. It sickens me that we are back to a selling club. All our best players to be sold and we the supporters are subject to mid table at its best football. Do the board not realise that people wont turn up to watch boring football and seeing the team struggling to avoid relegation

  • Paul Basnett says:

    “one to watch”

All we do is watch so far.

Another snapshot of how far we’ve fallen when we could have to sell one of our best players ( when he can be bothered ) to Spurs of all teams.

    Yikes
