West Ham say they know nothing about reports that Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis was set to hold talks with recently appointed West Ham coach Paco Jemez yesterday.
Claret and Hugh reached out to a club insider in response to the bizarre claims who responded exclusively “We know nothing about this; he is under contract with West Ham. I thought Nottingham Forest were hiring the ex-Wolves manager”
After Tuesday’s game Jemez spoke to Spanish publication Cadena Cope
“We were in a very bad run of form, we were seven points behind [the teams on the other side of the relegation zone].”
“However, in the last few matches, the team has shown signs of life. They’ve picked up the pace, they’ve believed in what they’re doing, tweaking a few things and without making big changes. If we continue like this, I’m convinced that the team will move up and we won’t be the ones who get relegated.”
The former Ibiza coach has been largely credited by pundits and players for West Ham’s recent turnaround in form.
Freddie Potts told the club website “Paco has had a massive impact, especially defensively. We’re conceding fewer goals now. He’s very smart with the defenders and midfield players — he helps everyone.”
Thomas Soucek added on Paco: “Two months ago, not many people probably believed in us — they would have written us off. But we’ve changed our mentality, we fight for each other and we know what’s at stake. We’ve said we can’t play like individual players, the team comes first and we can show our qualities. I’m just so happy that we’re starting to do that now”

Maybe Paco Jemez is only effective as a number two to Nuno Espirito Santo.
Could be that Forest need the current West Ham management and coaches to actually replicate our upturn.
Can’t see any of this happening. Once bitten by Evangelos Marinakis, shame on him. Twice bitten, shame on me.
Contracts don’t seem to have any influence whether coaches/managers/players stay or go.
How big payoff is no doubt in small print.
Early days Nuno was his own man and not listening to anybody hence is formation trials.
Turn around looks to have nothing to do with Nuno other than he is now paying attention.
Other than cash why would Pasco go to another relegation team?
If either were going they can have Nuno back.
It maybe a different situation in summer when other teams could be upping the anti.
Whu may have to choose between the two of them but it looks like Pasco would come out winner.
