According to FCInterNews.it, the Irons are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck, adding another name to their defensive shopping list.

The Hammers, under new manager Julen Lopetegui, are prioritising defensive reinforcements after a season that exposed vulnerabilities at the back. The acquisition of Max Kilman has bolstered the central defence, and Bisseck could be seen as a potential option to further solidify the backline.

However, West Ham face a significant challenge in securing Bisseck’s signature. Inter Milan reportedly value the 23-year-old German defender at €25 million and consider him a key part of their plans. Bisseck’s impressive performances in his first season with the Italian giants have further strengthened his position at the club.

West Ham fans might be divided on this potential transfer target. While Bisseck’s young age and recent success are attractive traits, the high asking price and Inter’s reluctance to sell could make the deal difficult to realise.

If West Ham manage to secure Bisseck, he could provide competition and depth in central defence alongside Kilman and Aguerd (if he stays). His versatility, potentially playing at left-back, could further enhance the defensive options.

West Ham might need to explore other defensive options if Inter Milan remain firm on their stance. Players like Logan Costa (mentioned in earlier posts) could be considered as a more affordable alternative.
Overall, West Ham’s pursuit of Yann Bisseck reflects their determination to improve our defence. Whether they can overcome the obstacles and secure his signature remains to be seen.

Perhaps we need to lower the bar?
Bisseck/KWP/Gomez/AWB, maybe mind games but all appear to have stumbling issues.
Defence material seems in short supply or expensive.
WHU like versatility and that is needed in defence now.
Jayden Oosterworlde (c/bk and l/bk) has been linked, is this still an option?
No good scoring goals but conceding more!!
