West Ham are reportedly set to pip Leeds United and several other clubs to the signing of South American attacker Jhon Arias, who is in great form in the Brazilian League.
According to the Brazilian media, Leeds have made an offer worth around £13 million for Fluminense attacker Arias. However, it is also thought that West Ham’s director of football, Tim Steidten, has extensively scouted the Colombian. West Ham are currently believed to be leading the race, with negotiations at an ‘advanced stage.’
Arias is currently in the Colombia squad and scored in a 5-1 friendly win over the USA last week.
Described as the ‘most creative’ player in Brazilian football, Arias is primarily a winger but can play across the front three. He is two-footed and an excellent set-piece taker. He’s fast, can dribble well and is just the latest in a line of wingers linked to the Hammers.
Arias was a key figure for his club with 59 appearances in all competitions for Fluminense last season, he scored 11 goals and created 17 assists.
Perhaps with descent wings we might fly, although we might need a propeller up front.
I think I saw him make his debut in 1970.
This kid looks good ,reminds me of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford .
