West Ham United are looking to exploit a potential transfer opportunity for Braga’s prolific striker Simon Banza.
The Hammers are actively searching for a striker to bolster their attacking options. Reports link them to several targets, including Banza.
The 27-year-old had a stellar season with Braga in Portugal, netting 21 goals in the league alone and an impressive 23 goals in all competitions. In the league, he was only outscored by Golden Boot winner Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP (29 goals).
While Banza’s contract boasts a €40 million release clause, a new twist has emerged. According to O Jogo, Braga are willing to part ways with the striker for a significantly reduced fee – potentially as low as €20 million. This represents a massive €20 million discount and has understandably piqued West Ham’s interest.
West Ham aren’t the only club interested in Banza’s services. An unnamed club from the lucrative UAE league has tabled a concrete offer, potentially presenting a challenge for the Hammers.
The East London club will need to make a compelling offer to convince Banza. While playing in the Premier League offers prestige and a chance to be part of West Ham’s rich history, the UAE club’s financial muscle might be hard to match in terms of wages.
West Ham must decide if they can compete with the UAE club financially to secure Banza’s signature. Banza’s potential arrival would significantly bolster their attacking options, providing a proven goalscorer to their lineup. The coming days and weeks will be crucial in this transfer saga, with West Ham needing to act swiftly if they are to land their target striker.
Ahh i see your back on this one now none of your other pointless links have born fruit….i hear we are in for Mbappe as his nose bled Claret so that must mean he wants to come to us.
Chill Winston, no one likes a angry OLD MAN
Just rumours if and buts we seem to be interested supposedly in the signings we simply can’t, afford or we can’t compete with the supposed financial muscle of other teams, well I’m sorry it’s all complete bollocks if we know what we can afford for who we want we would just go and get them, the reason we don’t is because sullivan won’t spend the money or pay the wages because he has no ambition full stop. He has only 1,goal to stay in the Premier league on the cheap so he can make money.
Time to step up the striker options ….. now Ings has gone, potentially Mubama and Antonio is on his last legs – we need at least two strikers now of proven quality. Not so easy in today’s current market.
