West Ham Eyeing Costa Amidst Defensive Rejig

West Ham United‘s pursuit of Toulouse defender Logan Costa continues, with the Hammers facing competition from Italian side Bologna.

Costa has emerged as yet another target for the Irons as they look to bolster their defensive options under  Julen Lopetegui. The 23-year-old French defender impressed in Ligue 1 last season, helping Toulouse secure a Europa League qualification spot.

Reports from Calciomercato in Italy suggest that West Ham are ‘always in the running’ for Costa, but a potential stumbling block exists in the form of the transfer fee. Toulouse are reportedly demanding €20-21 million for the defender, a price tag likely inflated by West Ham’s status as a Premier League club with greater financial resources !!

Bologna, however, could pose a significant threat to West Ham’s pursuit. While the Italian club might be willing to offer a lower fee, the report suggests their offer might not be as attractive to Toulouse.

The 24-year-old is on Lopetegui’s shortlist as he seeks an ideal partner for Kilman at the heart of the backline.
