West Ham United have been handed a potential transfer blow after being quoted a £15 million fee for highly-rated Inter Miami midfielder Diego Gomez.

The Hammers have been monitoring the Paraguayan international’s progress with interest, as they look to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new Premier League season. Gomez has impressed with his performances for the MLS side, showcasing his pace, power, and creativity.

However, Inter Miami are determined to hold onto their prized asset and have placed a significant valuation on the 21-year-old. The MLS club’s wealthy owners, including David Beckham, are in a strong financial position and are under no pressure to sell.

The Irons will now have to weigh up whether to meet Inter Miami’s asking price or explore alternative options in the transfer market. With limited funds available, the Hammers may face a difficult decision over whether to invest heavily in a player with limited top-flight experience.

Me again Martin 🙂 even you would have to accept this site has gone down hill since Hugh departed. I have a massive amount of time for Gonzo but Simon isn’t a reporter or even someone trying to play a reporter, he is a joke. Does he get paid per article as he churns them out like there is no tomorrow and the quality is dire. I come here for the fun factor these days as most of Simon’s glaring mistakes make me chuckle.

Less is more me thinks. Love Sensible3 x

Live and let live. Nobody is perfect but the criticism is undeserved, considering all of this is brought to the readership 100% for free.
We are always aiming to grow and make the C and H site better for readers, that’s why we try and keep these ‘comments’ open though sometimes the trolling is disgraceful.
Everyone is trying very hard to fill a massive void left by Hughie. Hopefully our 50k plus readers every day understand that and will grow as we strive to improve always.
AND: I do respect the tone of your comments rather than the vile language other keyboard warriors resort to.
Why not try yourself? Submit something for Gonzo to consider. Help be part of the improvement instead of lobbing ‘grenades’ of criticism over the fence.
Address is at the top: ‘Write for us’. Promise I’ll be nice with my critique.

It’s heartbreaking how this site has declined since the passing of Hughie, at least we used to get the “Report” “Breaking” and “Exclusive” before the headline of a story so you knew if it was a copy and paste or a genuine new bit of information being passed on. I understand that not all readers use all the West Ham based websites but it is getting to the point of being ridiculous now.

So we hadn’t made an offer or spoke to the player bit it’s a transfer blow…

“Brighton, on the other hand, appear to be in advanced negotiations with Inter Miami, with a fee of around £11.6 million being discussed.”

Simon, your words from yesterday’s report. “In Advanced Negotiations” at £11.6m.

Now I don’t know how transfers work but surely if you get to Advanced Negotiations you have agreed a fee 🤷‍♂️

    • Ian says:

Certainly looks that way. I don’t see any quotes or sources either.

    • Dave says:

Think he may be struggling with the fact the US use a different currency to UK ($15m = £11.6m).
Either that or no one proof reads these “articles” before they are published.
