West Ham face competition for Yedder

yedderWest Ham face stiff competition for Toulouse striker Ben Yedder with reports in France claiming Lyon have made the 25 year old striker their top target.

According to information from Mercato365, the club president Jean-Michel Aulas has revived his interest in Yedder, who is under contract until June 2017 and valued around €10m (£8.3m).

The Lyon president previously said about Yedder “He’s a great player. A lot of teams would like to have him next year. With a stronger team than Toulouse, he should be able to assert himself in the French league.”

Yedder was on the score sheet again for Toulose on Friday night against Osasuna in a 2-0 win. Martin Brathwaite who has also been linked to West Ham was the other goalscorer in the first minute but was also credited with an assist for Yedder’s goal on 31 minutes.

West Ham sounded out Ben Yedder’s representative Meïssa N’Diaye this summer after they made a previous approach in January, Premier League champions Leicester have also registered their interest in a player who scored 17 goals in Ligue 1 last season despite his club only just avoiding relegation.

  1. Looks like that failure to qualify for the champions league is really biting our arse .
Feel sure of something soon though . The two Dave’s haven’t gotten this far without being shrewd .

  2. Scores as many goals as Bacca and he miles younger.
    €10m v how many zillions?
    It’s an absolute no brainer.
Aulas mucked us about with Lacazette – it would be good to outmanoeuvre him here.

  3. go get this guy asap before someone else get him right age and we can then tell Bacca sorry mate u had your chance

  4. Seems to be a recurring theme. We tell the world about our targets then act surprised when others come in. We are trying to act like a big club yet we have the chairs son issuing updates on multi million deals.
Why don’t we just act professional, quietly go about our business and just get it done!

  5. If not for the incompetent bias refs we would not be in the position we are in as regards signings !
Apart from the league games it could boil down to just one game, man u Q Final / Mr Atkinson ! Swine steiger !!!! Add on top the survey for incorrect decisions which we were on top of the list we would have finished 3rd.
And nobody can do jack about it ?
    Makes the tummy churn !

  6. Yeh , johnboy . We all agree but now we are in the world of do or die . Reckon we have made a few discreet signings though . Bacca was never coming and I reckon it was a bit of a ploy by the board to see him go somewhere else and see someone else waste Thier money .( Arsenal will trip up again ) Reckon Yedder could be a useful signing and a bit of a surprise package in the Prem . Hold on to your hats ; we look like we are in for a stormy ride .
Have faith in Bilic and Mssrs Sullivan / Gold ….. But I repeat what I kept saying last season .
We don’t need Sullivan’s boy sending tweets right left and centre . Take his phone away .

  7. Fellas, why does anyone think that as supporters reading news in the media we have any idea what’s really going on? Is anyone seriously think that Jack Sullivan is going to tipoff her clubs as to our intentions. I have to believe agents and scouts know a hell of a lot. We can get ourselves all worked up but we don’t know anything. We aren’t paid millions of pounds to decide if we think the French Striker is worth eight or 10 or 50 million .
    Keep the faith lads.. WHTID
