West Ham Face Fresh Bowen Concern After Fabrizio Romano Update

West Ham already knew it was going to be difficult hanging on to their best players following relegation to the Championship.

But it may just have become even harder after an update from Fabrizio Romano this morning.

The transfer insider revealed the formation of a brand new football super agency — and the bad news for the Hammers is that Jarrod Bowen is one of the clients involved.

Speaking on his X account, Romano wrote:

“Official: new leading agency into football world has born — Gersh.

“Leading agencies in Mainland Europe, You First, and the UK-based PLG, will now operate under the Gersh brand, creating a global football powerhouse. Tyler Alexander-Arnold will become Head of the UK division.

“Top players such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabián Ruiz, Alexia Putellas, Andrew Robertson, Jarrod Bowen and Christoph Baumgartner are now part of Gersh. Here we go.”

Bowen Situation Looks Increasingly Difficult

Jarrod Bowen gives West Ham fans the thumbs up

West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen is a wanted man

It would appear Gersh is effectively cannibalising a number of smaller agencies to create one huge football entity, none of which feels particularly encouraging for West Ham supporters hoping Bowen stays put.

The Hammers captain was listed amongst five players the club would ideally like to retain following relegation, with Mads Hermansen, Taty Castellanos, Tomáš Souček and Konstantinos Mavropanos also mentioned internally.

As everyone knows, football agencies make their money through player movement and transfers.

West Ham were already facing something of an uphill task convincing Bowen to spend a season in the Championship attempting to guide the club back to the Premier League. The last thing we need is a new super agent whispering new transfer possibilities into his ear.

More West Ham Departures Expected

We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but as things stand Axel Disasi and Callum Wilson already appear to have departed the club and I suspect more exits will follow over the coming days.

Agents work for the player They only have to say NO and mean it the only thing they will loose is an agent Everything is within their own control

Stop raising your blood pressure gonzo….if it happens it happens nothing we can do about it….as for that Romano and his here we go nonsense unless something is real and not just a rumour leave it be.

My blood pressure is fine Pat. Not worked up at all mate, just a report. In fact, I was pretty calm at the game on Sunday . . . not really a steam coming out of the ears type.

There was plenty of “steam” coming out of your ears and anger in your video about Sullivan’s GF and her message to fans.

Think it would nice for Bowen to play for a team, I think he would benefit from someone who knows how to manage, it can’t be good for his confidence playing for this circus, can’t blame any of them wanting to further their career, because it won’t happen at this club, just my opinion 🙏🏻

The player and the club will be the ones that decide if Bowen stays, not TAA’s brother. The player has personal connections to the club unlike some of the other mercenaries we have in the dressing room, so this won’t be an easy choice for him.

Unfortunately, the last few games of the season he looked tired and unenthusiastic, and I think we all know we need a new captain, which we won’t get while he’s at the club. He would also probably be the best player in that league if he stays.

Tough choice, but if we get a fair price for him, and he doesn’t leave under a cloud, I don’t think it would be the end of the world.

Good luck to Jarrod if he decides to move on ( but NOT a London club ) At 29 he deserves the chance to win another trophy or two and he has been brilliant for us. To mention, for those saying his performances have dipped, they will rise again when he gets to play with better players ( shouldn’t be too hard, should it ?) although I think, as he has said, he would like to stay and help us get back up. But we’re talking Sullivan who has completely f****d this club up, so he will probably sell every asset including Bowen.
On another note, another own goal keeping Nuno on, he should be on his way, but the clowns upstairs probably had Dyche, Parker or some other non entity lined up !
Still rather have Harry Redknapp – he knows how to get across the halfway line !
