West Ham United are facing difficulties in their pursuit of Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, with negotiations over a transfer fee proving to be a stumbling block.

Sean Whetstone  has reported via his West Ham Football X account that the Hammers could pursue other striker targets instead, with Villa valuing their player at £40million and are unwilling to budge.

The Hammers have seen a bid of £32 million plus a player and a sell-on clause rejected by Villa, who value the 20-year-old at £40 million. With the transfer window progressing, West Ham may be forced to explore alternative options in their search for a new striker.

The club’s transfer strategy has faced criticism from fans, with many expressing disappointment at the lack of progress in the market. The failed pursuit of Noussair Mazraoui has further exacerbated the frustration among supporters.

The Irons will need to act swiftly to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League season, with time running out to secure their top targets

    Is this whinger really needed?
Move on before it’s to late and sign a reliable source.
    £40m there must be alternatives

It’s Durans attitude that makes him not worth top dollar. He is not worth what is being asked for that reason. More than one ITK has said that we’re looking at other options.

It looks very much like we have moved on which seems to suit what most posters here are saying.

With regard to Mazaroui there was a statement that I posted in another thread that the fee, agents fee, and wage demand was such that it gave problems within PSR regulations.

We will be less affected by factors like that than anybody else outside of the top six as we have the seventh largest revenue.

With regard to Wan Bissaka it has been reported that he wants to go to Milan is a personal choice.

It seems to me that if you want the named players,Duran,Wan-Bassaka etc,we are gonna have to pay for them otherwise they stay where they are.
Why Villa want to keep aplayer that doesn’t want to be there and will cause problems is beyond me.

We don’t , we want the full 40M for him, simples.

Villa have been offered the full 40 , the sticking point is they also want add ons. You lot seem obsessed by this , move on , he’s staying at villa and we’re looking elsewhere . Im not sure why you all have to keep coming on west ham sites to state you want 40million for him. We know that .

Because those West Ham sites continue posting about their player. Maybe we should stop posting about a player we’ve supposedly moved on from?

Funny how everyone’s too expensive and were still nowhere near bringing anyone in. Another season of Antonio falling over and blowing out of his arse it is then.

How does he double in value when he hasn’t played for a year? Villa are taking the ****. Let him rot in their reserves instead
