West Ham United suffered a 3-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in a rain-affected pre-season friendly in Florida.
The match, delayed by over two hours due to adverse weather conditions, saw Wolves emerge victorious thanks to goals from Matheus Cunha, Gonçalo Guedes, and Rodrigo Gomes.
Despite a spirited performance from the Hammers, which included a goal from Mohammed Kudus, Wolves proved more clinical in front of goal. The match provided valuable game time for both sides as they build towards the new Premier League season.
Lopetegui would not have been happy with his team’s performance, despite the challenging circumstances around the game, and will demand a better all-round display when they face Crystal Palace in their next pre-season fixture.
