There was more than one kind of drama at the Boleyn ground on Saturday afternoon.
Thousands of West Ham fans were concerned when they saw one fellow Hammers fan at the back of the corner of the Betway West Stand next to Sir Trevor Brooking Lower Stand had collapsed in the second half of the Chelsea victory in the area commonly referred to unfairly as ‘Chav corner’.
West Ham’s club doctor was called from the dug out to attend the stricken fan who had been taken ill, he was later he was joined by St John’s Ambulance then London Ambulance paramedics. An emeregency defibrillator was bought to the fan but not used.
A West Ham insider told Claret and Hugh today that the fan is alright “Yes the fan is Ok, they thought it was a heart attack but it wasn’t so all is OK now”
