Irons fans brave flooding chaos for store opening

West Ham fans braved flooding and major travel chaos to attend the official opening of the West Ham megastore at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park this morning. Torrential down pours and thunderstorms over night in London and Essex caused the closure of Manor Park and Canning Town stations meaning Greater Anglia trains to Stratford were cancelled and the Jubilee Line was facing big delays.

Die hard fans queued outside the new megastore in the rain singing Bubbles as they waited for the doors to open. Below is a video posted by West Ham supporter Scott Slusher.

West Ham skipper Mark Noble also braved floods to get to the new mega store

A West Ham spokesman told ClaretandHugh this morning “The show must go on!”
