West Ham Favourite Nears January Exit as Clubs Circle

Vladimir Coufal could be nearing his West Ham exit as clubs in Germany and Turkey eye a move for the Hammers’ right-back.

The Czech international has been an outstanding servant since signing from Slavia Prague for a little over £5 million, following a recommendation from his close friend Tomáš Souček.

Last season, West Ham activated a 12-month option on the defender’s contract, keeping him registered with the Irons until June 2025. Unfortunately for the popular Coufal, he has been surplus to requirements at the London Stadium since the club signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

With no European football and an early exit from the Carabao Cup, the 32-year-old has had limited opportunities, serving primarily as understudy to AWB. Naturally, this has alerted other clubs to his availability, with reports suggesting a move could happen as soon as January, with West Ham receiving a nominal fee for his services.

Coufal has been an excellent servant for the Hammers, playing a huge part in the club’s most successful period in recent years.

Where is our youth policy. Top team in under 21:19 and 17. Blood them in the first team at least they will be committed, unlike the premodonnas raking in the wages, before they disappear back to Saudi.
Bring on British players and manager who understand our league and produces entertaining and attractive football

Always 100% committed to the cause. I hope he’ll stay but if he doesn’t, every Hammer will wish him well ⚒️

  • Tezard says:

So who is the back up right back ? Since we should have 2 players for every position.

Same backup as left back_None (can’t include Cresswell).
Another major update in summer transfers.
      Out goings Cresswell/Coufal/Ings/Antonio/Alvarez/New keeper (maybe)/New manager (?).

Mavro had a surprisingly good outing at RB earlier this year. He looked miles better there than the travesty he is at CB.

Be sad to see coufal go but I guess it’s time for him to move on it’s a shame that certain players in the squad don’t give their all as coufal has always done when he’s in the team I’m sure he will be snapped up very quickly I wish him all the best for the future he will always be remembered at our great club 👍⚒️
