West Ham favourites to sign Giroud

|

GiroudWest Ham are the 6/4 bookies favourites to sign Oliver Giroud before September.

West Brom and Marseille are second favourites at 8/1 with Lyon, Monaco and Inter Milan at 12/1.

Bet Victor list odds of 16/1 for the 30-year old Arsenal striker to join Lazio, AC Milan, Roma, Everton, Leicester, Southampton and Newcastle, while you can get the best odds online at OddsDigger.

The Hammers understand that personal terms of around £100k a week will be required plus a transfer fee of around £20 million would be needed to land the striker on a four-year deal.

Giroud scored 16 goals for Arsenal in 38 appearances for Arsenal last season but is set for the Arsenal exit door this summer after being told he is not in Wenger’s plans, according to reports in the L’Equipe in France.

He signed a new deal with the Gunners in January but he is unhappy with his playing time in the second half of the campaign and recently admitted he wouldn’t settle for another bit-part role next season.

Giroud excites me he has 98 goals in 226 apps most of those coming of the bench this year 12 goals of the Bench. If we can get him I say go for it but I don’t think we should wait for him. If we can close on Kelechi (which we are being daft over Buy back, Pep is putting those on all his young players so hurting our odds by not just settling) and Henry O who can play either wing and Arsenal buy a striker then we can get Giroud that would be Fantastic. Him up front with a pace player is fantastic he always does well doing that with France do who he starts and they in my view have the most depth of talented strikers at the moment. So Henry O Kelechi close and Giroud would be a bonus. Fletch could be sold for £5m AC will never stay fit so we have no strikers. 3 wouldnt hurt. I don’t see Michy move working. If Chelsea get two strikers they will sell him for £33m or so and I Stoll think Koeman might ask for him for Lukaku plus cash I am surprised haven’t seen that in the papers.
