West Ham “Flop” to Fulham

Fulham are considering a surprise move for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to a report from GIVEMESPORT. The England international, labeled a “flop” at West Ham by the outlet, could be a potential replacement for Fulham’s key midfielder Joao Palhinha.

Phillips’ struggles continue after a hefty £45 million transfer to Manchester City in 2022. Failing to break into Pep Guardiola’s starting lineup, he was loaned to West Ham in January with hopes of reviving his form before Euro 2024. However, the loan spell proved disastrous. Phillips managed only 10 appearances, marred by a red card and a tense incident with West Ham fans.

Back at City with four years remaining on his contract, Phillips seems destined for another exit. Fulham, under Marco Silva, are now touted as a possible destination.

The report suggests Manchester City might be willing to take a significant loss on Phillips, potentially accepting a fee as low as £25 million to offload the midfielder.

Guys, try to have some class and be more respectful of Simon as his doing his best.

    Yob culture is so yesterday.

If that’s considered his best, then maybe he needs to find something else to fill his spare time. Asking a question as the headline, followed by copying and pasting the majority of the article from other websites, and finishing with a bland sign off about how its relevant to WHU is not considered reporting. Especially when its just for clicks, its plagiarism! Maybe he can do some photocopying instead!

I never really understood the need for Phillips, I’m sure his agent said, look they did wonders with Lingard at West Ham, I just don’t think his heart or head was really into heading down south for his football. The failure by Moyes for not looking into his fitness data properly from City was just utter stupid. Tim must have been having a heart attack looking at the Phillips figures when he turned up. He hadn’t even done any real pre-season training with City and he’s been chucked into the deep end to play stupid Moyes ball. For me Phillips peaked at Leeds and England that summer, but he’s just an okay championship player, that’s all. Fulham might get a reasonable tune out of him eventually, but will be want to leave some 4 years of high City wages to go there? Like hell!

Interesting to read west ham supporters. I don’t make them wrong. As a Fulham supporter I despaired when we bought Diop from them. And he’s turned out to be an absolute donkey .
It’s difficult to make up my mind over Phillips. He’s obviously had a crisis of confidence at Man City. West Ham was never a good choice. Their supporters are very fickle and demand instant results. Sadly Fulham as a mid table club can’t attract or afford the quality player that we would need to be able to compete.

So they couldn’t persuade our Ben Johnson to join them and now they’re so desperate they are going after our loan rejects. There’s only one f in Fulham! 😂

David Moyes could not get song out of him but he couldn’t get one out of Taylor swift. If he tried. We have Marco Silva . Fulham will not be going in for him his wages will be to big . Good luck next season

Championship player… who I believe was named England player of the year in 2022!!! Guardiola shot his confidence to shreds .. a team that puts faith in him will reap the benefits I am sure of that. But can’t help feel he really wants to be back home at Leeds

    Haha. Fulham must be desperate.

I couldn’t agree with u more Bernard. So this was reported on GiveMeSport and you thought I know I’ll copy it and then paste it here to fill some screen real estate. Why wouldn’t we just go and read it on the GiveMeSport website? Its just as easy for us to google West Ham news as it is for u. Its just blatant plagiarism and lazy reporting….actually its not even that, as reporting would constitute doing some research and writing an original article! I just cant stand what this place has become! Hughie wouldn’t have stood for it!

      Don’t visit the website

      • John says:

Don’t think he wanted to be at West Ham, never looked really bothered. But good luke at Fulham.

      • Iron_It_Out says:

If I don’t visit the website to check on the fake news and rumours being posted, then the gullible sheep that read them will probably believe every word. With us living in a society of so called free speech, the clickbait team at C&H are entitled to their opinion, but because of Simon’s lack of accuracy, along with his far too regular use of the “Control C” and “Control V” keys, it means he is willing to post any old rubbish just to get the required clicks. Even if I only get a few articles to be re-read or researched properly before being posted, then I’ll consider that of benefit!

Just like a flop of a reporter. Not nice is it
