West Ham Move for Tyler Morton

West Ham—and just about every other club, no doubt—seem to get linked with wave after wave of unknown overseas players hailed as the next big thing. Most require a bit of research, and 99% never end up moving to the linked club anyway.

But occasionally, we get linked with the right player at the right time—one hiding in plain sight.

That’s certainly the case with England Under-21 star Tyler Morton, who is now deemed surplus to requirements at Liverpool. The 22-year-old Reds academy graduate signed a long-term deal in January 2023, before heading out on loan to Blackburn Rovers in 2022–23 and then to Hull City last season, where he was named EFL Young Player of the Month.

Morton was first linked to West Ham in an ExWHUEmployee update back in January, and speculation has ramped up again in recent days. A number of national newspapers are linking the Irons with a move and there appears to be serious interest.

In yesterday’s Euro U21 final, Morton came on as a substitute after the excellent Alex Scott went off injured following a cynical German challenge. It was a tentative start for Morton, arriving just as Germany were growing into the game—but his influence steadily increased, and he provided a sumptuous assist for Jonathan Rowe’s late winner.

Beyond the hollywood moment, Morton looked composed, confident, and formed a strong partnership with Elliot Anderson in midfield. In short he looks to be an excellent player.

West Ham opportunity not to be missed

With Liverpool’s summer spending spree rocketing them into another financial stratosphere, their three young England stars look set for the exit door. Jarell Quansah is heading to Bayer Leverkusen, Harvey Elliott looks Brighton-bound—and Morton is there for the taking.

It’s time to stop talking about limited funds. The transfer window has been open for almost a month, and the Hammers haven’t signed anyone.

Now, here is a talented, young, English midfielder—with experience and reportedly an interest in joining West Ham.

We’d be fools to muck this one up.

Have to agree with beyond caring , this club has turned into a circus, constantly leaking prospective players coming to it , if we were serious there would be no need for this hearsay, it would be done already, 60 years supporting and I have to say I have never witnessed such incompetence, a club that no longer owns its ground or even training ground, self serving megalomaniac owners , plenty of players who woul0d rather be elsewhere, an average manager at best, the only assets are the supporters who constantly being dumped on ( despite their loyalty) , a club in reverse and speeding up!
“Things can only et better ” , not sure about that.🙏🏻😥.

We are fools so of course it’s going to be mucked up….expect a derisory low-ball offer from Sullivan then sit back and watch as he signs for Brentford or Fulham….honestly we are so Mickey Mouse it’s embarrassing being West Ham these days

That’s how pathetic we have become when we can’t compete with equivalent clubs .we should be targeting Harvey Elliott not losing out to Brighton
