West Ham given green light to sell lower tier tickets

os50
The heavy lifting cranes and air skate equipment are busy moving the remaining three lower tier stands forward 15 metres in time for the Europa second leg match on Thursday 4th August. One surprise addition to the former Olympic Stadium is new West Ham branding spotted in photos published today. The welcome sight of Claret crossed Hammers behind each goal in the South and North end stands was unexpected but welcomed.

ClaretandHugh understands that the stadium owners and operators are pleased with the progress made so far and tomorrow will give the green light to sell tickets in the lower tiers of the South, North and West stands previously forbidden.

The seats will go on sale as early as 9am on Wednesday morning but this has yet to be confirmed. We understand that the mass relocation of supporters who have already moved seats from these lower stands will not be undertaken except in exceptional circumstances. This latest development will make another 12,000 seats available for the European match.

The season ticket priority window ends at 5pm on Wednesday before it opens to Claret members on Thursday at 9am then general sale on Saturday at 9am.

The game is limited to a capacity of 54,000 due to the current safety certificate in place but in the unlikely event  that the club do not sell 54,000 tickets Newham residents will be offered free tickets as part of West Ham’s contractual obligation to offer up to 100,000 free tickets per year to local residents.

  1. I saw on the news earlier that Bernie Ecclestones mother in law has been kidnapped in Brazil & the kidnappers are asking for £28m.Are they thinking of putting a bid in for Bacca 😀

    • hahah… I feel sorry for her… but what you wrote is funny P45… lol Yes, you’re right, actually… we forgot about Bacca. Latest rumors are that he was given a last deadline: 30 December, but that’s it, enough is enough. lol 😀

      • 30th of Dec 2019 Matt?? Lol
Are Sully & Gold in Brazil at the moment. Is this their cunning plan to raise the funds for the Bacca signing ?? 🙂

        • lol mmmh Stan, kidnapping could be an efficient, innovative way of conducting trade negotiations… if you want Bacca, for example, you grab him and then you ask £30 mil. for his ransom… then you make an offer to Milan and you take their player using their money… Cunning plan, DS and DG should pay my professional advice… haha 😉
