West Ham are working overtime to secure new signings during the January transfer window.

This follows yesterday’s revelation that the Hammers approached Brighton to enquire about Evan Ferguson, only to be informed by the South Coast club that any decision would be made at the end of the window.

After learning of Brighton’s stance on Ferguson, Claret & Hugh reached out to a top source at the club regarding two other players heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium. The source replied, “I can’t comment on specific names as it reveals our plans to agents and clubs,” but added, “I’m working flat out to bring players in.”

The club has reiterated on several occasions that signing a striker remains a priority, along with adding pace to the midfield.

West Ham have also made it clear they will walk away from any negotiations for Ferguson if Brighton insist on a deadline-day deal. There is understood to be a shortlist of potential targets, with agents and clubs already approached

Good. We are an utter embarrassment in the manner we conduct our transfers. More leaks than Wales. Shows exactly that at the top of the tree we’re nothing more than a bunch of amateurs.

  • Chicken run news says:

This article is very contradictory. On the one hand, you claim there is “a secret squirrel approach and that they don’t comment on individual players” then on the other hand, you state that the club have made their stance on Ferguson clear. Something doesn’t add up! 🤔

  • Not A Circus F.C. says:

Same old story since the dildo brothers took over in 2010, to try to sign a striker. We have signed something like 50 or 60 strikers since they came in.

whatever striker we sign loppy will ruin him

  • Taffyhammer says:

If we are to sign anybody we need to insist that they play with their socks pulled up. Todibo take note. We should at least look the part.

They could play stark bollock naked for all I care,!! As long as they can run pass and show a bit of passion and commitment

      Billy Bonds?

      • Taffyhammer says:

Shin pads optional in Billy’s day. Also very cumbersome and uncomfortable. Bit like cut down cricket pads. Not the case nowadays and youngsters should be encouraged to wear the protection. Much better than serrated shins for the rest of their lives.

        Advice rant over.
