What a difference 90 minutes makes!
West Ham started Sunday evening deep in the Premier League relegation zone in eighteenth place with two losses and zero points but by the end of 4-0 victory against Wolves had jumped up to tenth place in the league table.
The Hammers leapfrogged Manchester City and Manchester United wiping their minus goal difference of three going back into a positive figure.
David Moyes has proved working from home is no bad thing in football with stand-in Alan Irvine recording a 100% record this week with nine West Ham goals and a clean sheet.
Stuart Pearce could be seen on the phone in the London Stadium to the manager as he watched at home on BT Sports with a nice cup of tea.
Moyes will still be in his ten-day self-isolation for the Hammers trip to Everton on Wednesday meaning Irvine can aim for his hat trick of victories mid-week
Credit must be given to Moyes and his coaching staff, there has been a dramatic
Improvement in Masuaku and Fredericks since they have returned.
Antonio is improving his all round game too.
Moyes was also responsible for switching Arnoutivic to a more central role, which
Was a huge success.
I think we are in good hands with Moyes and his team,, there will be a few bumps
along the way, but that is the West Ham way afterall.
The formation is the key. Neither Fredericks nor Masuaku are good at full back – both are much better as wing backs. It’s been apparent for ages that our squad is more suited to playing a back 3. We still need defensive reinforcements this week, in my opinion.
