West Ham have money to spend and bids in for players, according to the latest update from ExWHUEmployee.
The Hammers ITK has continued to report that goalkeeper remains a priority position—and that’s unlikely to have changed following last night’s 2-0 win against Bournemouth.
Whilst Alphonse Areola kept a clean sheet, he had the woodwork to thank on three occasions and generally looked nervous and unconvincing.
With rumours swirling that West Ham have had a €10m bid accepted for John Victor, and reports emerging that Mads Hermansen was seen saying his goodbyes to Leicester City, it feels like the goalkeeping situation could go in any direction.
Parma have indicated they want €30 million for Zion Suzuki, and at this point, he appears to be the standout candidate and possibly Graham Potter’s first choice.
There’s no doubt that goalkeeper has quickly become a top priority—but let’s hope it’s not at the expense of bringing in a much-needed fast and athletic midfielder. With the Premier League season now less than two weeks away, Potter still has key gaps to fill.
Do we really need to spend so much on a GK
We need to get a descent midfielder in and to me Tobido is still a great worry
If we do not sign at least one fast, preferably box to box midfielder, we will not be saved by the hands, agility and reflexes of a goalkeeper alone. In that first half we could and should have been three down. We didn’t have a strong enough midfield to did us out and take the ‘out ball.’
If we bring in another midfielder I guess Freddie Potts won’t get to play? We have so many midfielders as it is, surely a few of them are going to have to leave.
Can’t see it being Hermansen and Suzuki and tbh there hasn’t been any indication of progress with Suzuki, as you say Gonzo it’s anyone’s guess given Sullivan’s history of walking potential new signings down the path then jettisoning them at the last minute…

I’m shocked and appalled you could say such a thing!
Did you not see him skilfully control the ball with his thigh and then blast it against Evanilson? I was so impressed I thought we’d sneakily signed Ronaldinho and stuck him in goal to make it a fair contest.
All seriousness though, we definitely need someone reliable between the sticks.
Umm, yes, there’s an interesting article coming next regarding that very thing,…..
Haha, fair enough. Should be an interesting read then!
