West Ham injury update

OBIANGA group of six players will face late fitness tests today for inclusions in tonight’s London derby against Palace. Another five remain some way off from recovery while one is expected to leave the club despite a mysterious injury.

Mark Noble suffered from a bruised foot which kept him out of the FA Cup but should be ready to return this evening.

Cheik Kouyate is also due to return from an ankle injury

Winston Reid is due to return from a groin injury.

Michail Antonio should be coming back after a strained calf muscle but his match fitness must be in question after a lengthy absence.

Jose Fonte could also soon make a return to the first team squad after recovering from a long-term ankle injury.

Declan Rice should also return from a minor calf injury.

Andre Ayew is allegedly suffering from a hamstring injury but some rumours dispute that. He is tipped for a West Ham exit this week and unlikely to be included in tonight’s squad whether he is fit or not.

Marko Arnautovic is not due to return until late February after suffering from a hamstring tear.

Manuel Lanzini is out until the beginning of March with a hamstring problem.

Andy Carroll has a fractured foot and while he scheduled for a return for late April, in reality, no-one expects to see him this season.

Pedro Obiang picked up a LCL tear to his knee over the weekend. He is likely to need surgery and his season is likely to be over.

Edimilson Fernandes is still recovering from an ankle operation is unlikely to return this season.

  1. Well that’s not so bad then. Just hope none are rushed back. Really hope they have finally sorted Antonio out. But still going to struggle to core goals over the next month.

  2. Other than Antonio and Noble most of the players coming back we don’t need, it’s Lanzini And Arnie that hold the key to our form.
