West Ham have responded to reports that Atlético Madrid have made an approach for Mohammed Kudus.

It was rumoured yesterday that the La Liga giants had submitted a tentative enquiry over the Ghanaian winger’s availability, with a view to a summer transfer.

In what may be the strongest indication yet that Kudus is indeed for sale, a top West Ham source spoke exclusively to Claret & Hugh, revealing:

“Sadly no, but the offer might come.”

While no bid has been received, it’s telling that the club is open to offers—and has been for some time. As C&H previously reported back in November, the West Ham hierarchy had already accepted that the former Ajax man could be sold, likely to raise funds for a squad rebuild.

West Ham would still encourage a Saudi bid for Kudus

Any January transfer was blocked by injuries to Niclas Fullkrug, Jarrod Bowen, and Michail Antonio, but with those issues now resolved, Kudus is firmly back on the ‘for sale’ list.

There have been rumblings of interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, but the club’s tone suggests disappointment that no concrete bid has materialised yet.

In a separate conversation with the club, C&H were told that Tomáš Souček is “way down the list” of potential sales, highlighting that the focus is clearly on offloading higher-value players—and Kudus sits right at the top.

West Ham will now be waiting patiently to see whether Atlético, or another European giant, makes a formal move as the summer transfer window approaches.

“Sadly no” why would we talk about one of our better players like this, it also makes us look desperate don’t act insulted when people low ball us.

      Exactly !

The club excited to sell one of our best players. 🙄

      (Oh the ambition)

In order to fund a team rebuild (again) after Sullivan made a complete cock and balls of the previous one not 12 months ago.

15 years in, nothing has changed , nothing ever will. He is proven he cannot fully delegate footballing decisions. Only thing left is to sell up and leave.

      Please go 🙏
