West Ham insist on game time for loanees

karen-brady_2675236bWest Ham Vice Chairman Karren Brady has revealed that West Ham insists on a financial penalty if West Ham players on loan do not get plenty of first-team time.

Speaking in the Sun newspaper Bardy said Loan spells are now an essential part of football saying Youth players on the fringes of first team football used to be those to go on loan, now proven stars are shipped off by their managers.

Adding “When regulations were codified, would Premier League members have predicted a star England player would have such trouble finding an employer that he spent a year in Italy and returned – still on loan – to this country. Yes, that’s international goalkeeper Joe Hart, formerly of Torino, now at West Ham – but still on Manchester City’s books.”

Talking about West Ham loaning players out she said  “At West Ham, we insist on a financial penalty if our players do not get plenty of first-team time.”

  1. You should put a financial penalty on the Manager for letting Burke go on loan when he should be in the first team

  2. Yawn…because you have seen so much of Burke over the last two seasons right?!?!?

  3. Wrong I know,but I would !👌

  4. What opportunities has Bilic provided to the kids over the last 2 years plus? Next to none. And players we’ve taken in on loan were hardly regular starters. So whilst I’m glad we are looking to ensure that our loanees get regular starts, I think we’ve got a bit of a cheek!

  5. Nothing to do with this at all, but a bit of ( fairly) good news in a pretty poor week. Watched Arnautovich in WC qualifier & thought he looked pretty sharp. Not Payet but some good flicks, a few good runs, a bad miss. Showed enough to suggest he could take some of the weight off Lanzini in creating chances for Hernandez (& Sakho maybe if I dare to mention him). Quiet second half but then Wales had taken over by then. OK we won’t have him for Huddersfield but maybe there are some good times ahead.
