West Ham United have emerged as a potential destination for Turkish defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu, according to a report from Turkish outlet Fotospor.

The classy 24-year-old left-back has attracted interest from several clubs, including West Ham. Fotospor claims nine clubs have officially contacted Fenerbahçe regarding Kadıoğlu.

Fenerbahçe president Ali Koç emphasises that Kadıoğlu, with two years remaining on his contract, is a valuable asset. He suggests that only an “astronomical figure” would convince them to sell. Fotospor estimates the asking price to be around €30 million.

The report confirms West Ham’s official approach to Fenerbahçe, but doesn’t specify if they’re willing to meet the high asking price.

Other clubs in the running include FC Porto and Napoli. Napoli has reportedly made the best offer so far, but it falls short of €20 million with bonuses included.

Earlier reports suggested Arsenal as frontrunners for Kadıoğlu’s signature. However, Fotospor states that Arsenal hasn’t submitted an official offer yet.

West Ham faces competition for Kadıoğlu, and Fenerbahçe’s high asking price might be a challenge. It remains to be seen if the Irons will submit a substantial offer or if another club prevails.
