West Ham have reportedly launched a loan bid for yet another midfielder with Graham Potter putting pressure on London Stadium bosses to get deals done, according to The Sun.

The move comes as the Hammers close in on a £14.5m deal — plus £2.5m in add-ons — for Soungoutou Magassa from Monaco. The newspaper are claiming the identity of the latest target is none other than Nottingham Forest midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré.

Potter is said to be desperate to strengthen midfield options before transfer deadline day after a nightmare start to the season, and Sangaré has now emerged as a serious target.

Forest are said to be open to parting with the 27-year-old following the arrival of Douglas Luiz, despite Sangaré featuring in both of their opening Premier League matches. No agreement has been reached yet, with West Ham pushing for a loan that includes an obligation to buy.

The Sangaré pursuit comes on the same day the Hammers have also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen’s Aleix García and Southampton’s Mateus Fernandes.

Meanwhile, West Ham ITK ExWHUEmployee has suggested the Irons could be bidding for as many as eight players as panic begins to set in with the transfer window closing fast.

If “panic begins to set in” as regards transfers, that is an extremely bad thing & does nothing to reassure me that West Ham’s team & playing problems are being effectively addressed. This is a very sorry state of affairs as, with panic, one has to ask whether the people creating & indulging in the panic ie management & owners, really know what they are doing & aren’t just taking what they can get – without really knowing exactly what it is that they are actually getting !

Being a West Ham fan for nearly 60 years you come to realise being a fan is a roller coaster of emotions Gonzo . I know it’s madness to leave it this late but hoping we will get the right young dynamic players from the bids . Another attacking midfielder or box to box midfielder and if possible another powerful central defender , with strength that can actually defend and be a leader . To much to wish for Gonzo ⚒?
