West Ham United have emerged as the frontrunners to re-sign Grady Diangana from West Bromwich Albion in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder impressed in the Championship last season, contributing 7 goals and 8 assists in 38 appearances for the Baggies. His performances have caught the eye of several Premier League clubs.

West Ham aren’t alone in their pursuit of Diangana. Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brighton & Hove Albion, Leicester City, Lazio, and AS Roma are also reportedly interested in acquiring him.

Despite the competition, West Ham appear to be in the driving seat. According to Africa Foot United, the Hammers have submitted a bid of £7 million + £3 million in bonuses to West Brom. The report further suggests that Diangana is “close to signing” for his former club.

Diangana spent a decade at West Ham, progressing through their youth system before making four appearances for the first-team squad. He left the club permanently for West Brom in 2020.

While West Ham’s offer and Diangana’s history with the club make them the favourites, it’s important to note that the deal isn’t finalised. With a year remaining on his contract at West Brom, other interested clubs still have the opportunity to make a move.

Its not the quality of the player that’s the issue, Its the quality of the “reporting” (and I use the word reporting in the loosest sense of the word) on this website and the stories they put out there that’s the real problem! This site never ceases to amaze me. They give some decent opinions now and then and get a few things right here and there, before ultimately resorting back to their clickbait version of Sunday Sport style reporting! Come on guys, give it a rest. Maybe try and find some decent factual news to report on instead of the usual BS and gossip!!

This is beyond ridiculous if this is the quality of player we are seriously considering we will be relegated next season for sure! I want to see who Lopetegui and steinden sign then we will see if we have a real quality manager.I will reserve judgement until I see the quality of players they are signing.

This is quite usual at this time of silly season, West brom probably touting this news to try to gain interest so they can offload him. But Mark my words as usual we will be touting our interest in at least 50 players b4 the start of the new season but we will end up signing about 5 at best , and hopefully 2 centre backs 1 striker and a left winger and a right back should be the prioritys and then use youth players to make up the homegrown quota. And if we end up getting rid of lopetugui, im available to take over at a reasonable 500k per season and i would deliver results no question about that by doing exactly what I said above.

    Is it April 1st?

Totally agree deathblow. He was a good kid, but he had about 1 in 10 decent games a poor Theo Walcott. I couldn’t believe the outrage from som fans when we sold him for an absolute song. We rarely do good business that was one tho.

His poor pass cost them a goal in the play off semi second leg. Don’t think Grady progressed as was expected and that he hasn’t set the world alight in the Championship.
Leave well alone , IF true

This has got to be a huge, bad joke. If by some absurd reason this was true then we’ve most definitely employed the wrong ‘coach’.
Grady is a lovely guy but nowhere near Premier League quality.
Are you posting this crap to wind people up?

Or was he another player who didn’t fit into Moyes philosphy ? There’s been a few !!!!

  • Pessimist says:

Oh come on Silly Season really is here isn’t. Why the hell would we want to sign someone back, who isn’t as good as some we are letting go ?
