West Ham United could be the next target for Amanda Staveley, the businesswoman who played a pivotal role in the Saudi Arabian takeover of Newcastle United.

According to reports, Staveley’s investment firm, PCP Capital Partners, has raised £500 million for a potential investment in a Premier League club. While Tottenham Hotspur has been initially linked, a source close to West Ham has suggested that Staveley could also consider investing in the Hammers.

With the Gold family’s stake in the club reportedly up for sale, the opportunity for new investment at West Ham is present. A potential partnership with Staveley could provide the club with the financial resources needed to compete at the highest level.

However, the report emphasises that these are early stages, and there is no concrete evidence of a deal being imminent. Nevertheless, the possibility of such an investment has generated excitement among West Ham fans, who are eager to see the club’s ambitions matched with increased financial backing

The Staveley situation could certainly change the landscape, though, given the £500 million fund that has been put together and her track record with Newcastle.

Staveley and her Investment Funds are stalking horses for others with deeper pockets. Her involvement in the Newcastle deal made it easier to sell to the authorities –
‘Look its not just the Saudi’s buying, there UK money as well’. If she buys a stake in someone expect another buyer, likely Middle Eastern, to come along in a couple of years and get an easier entry into the club by buying her investment and more

    Can she play right back

Can’t see anyone currently doing cartwheels outside my house as most fans are more focused on the dire transfer window. I assume the comment/lie was added for effect.

When you see and read about all the players linked with us, how can we believe anything until it actually happens. Really poor atm. There’s always hope.

actually, investment would make a massive difference to the PSR situation as share income can be used to offset against losses thru spending in the transfer market. which in turn would lead to cartwheels all round. So, I am excited.

      • Sensible3 says:

Not sure I agree with you Martin, the reason investors don’t want to buy into football clubs at the moment is due to PSR restrictions which limits their ability to throw money at the club so they can make some really money so what you say doesn’t add up.

Investors can’t just chuck money in the pot for transfers and the like. PSR is worked out by the previous seasons profits

We can only hope ..out of all your posts and there’s alot ..I wish this one was true
