  1. Always thought he was top quality, be great to see him become a hammer

  2. I like him but he is too similar to Carroll.

  3. Mandzukic is an upgrade on Jelavic for sure. Are we still getting Jonathan Calleri the Argentinian? Lanzini would help him to fit in. Another good signing would be Luciano Vietto. These younger stars of the future are really worth a punt and probably make a good investment as they are likely to go up in value in any event.

  4. I don’t really like him. He did not make marvels at Bayern, he did not convince at Atletico Madrid, and apparently was not good enough at Juve. He is hot headed and sometimes problematic on the pitch. As a back-up player, maybe, but would he have the right personality for that role ?

  5. Not for me. Past his best, too expensive, too similar to Carroll.
Ben Yedder is excellent value and very different from either Carroll or Calleri.
A strike force of Carroll, Ben Yedder, Calleri and Fletcher will get hatfuls of goals, especially bearing in mind the attacking midfield we now have at our disposal.
I really hope that Bilic can play Payet, Tore and Feghouli in the same starting 11. I expect that would move us up the pecking order on Match of the Day!

  6. If Calleri arrives and AC stays fit then he would have to play very well to get in the team,
But that’s the problem now when your squad grows, keeping everyone happy,
The Creesie situation shows that,Hendrie waited all season for a chance as soon as he leaves on loan we need him and because Cressie played nearly every game we don’t have a replacement ready,
We need players that are happy to rotate in a squad,
Something Valencia seems happy to do,

    • Looks like Valencia could be staying after all. If he does , I hope he knuckels down to some hard work, and doesn’t sulk.

  7. He would make a good back-up to Carroll if the price is right.

  8. I thought we were moving forward as a club ,
Ben yedder or someone similar , young and ambitious !!
Big big mistake signing this bloke , this has been !!
Ffs get real and stop this rubbish ,
Build a team not a geriatric unit !!
Who next ? Bob latchford !!!

  9. The normal pointless rant by Johnboy.
So how old are Fletcher & Martinez then.We have signed 6 players, alll 26 or younger.
**** me you do talk some bolloxs

    • F##k me gene wilder turned up , another Muppet with nothing to say , gets his little brain dead childish remark in without making a comment !!
You obviously haven’t seen fletcher and Martinez play have you nobby ??
The lad yedder is streets ahead of both , and proven ?
This ain’t the site for mugs like you , you should go to clair raynor’s site , she has loads of numbers to help you out ?

      • He did make a comment.A valid one as well. That we ain’t signed any older players so far.Thats a comment isn’t it????
What has Fletcher & Martinez ability got to do with it.Your moan up was about age not ability.
It’s strange so many are fed up of your moaning. We must all be wrong & you right eh ??

  10. As you get bigger you need players willing to sit on the bench behind your main players!
No he is not a starter BUT he is better than Cole, jelavic, etc that we have had over the years. May not be the main 30mil man, but would help in europa league cups etc!

  11. He is a fantastic footballer.Do some or you believe we are so Big Time Charlie someone of this calibre is not good enough for us.We finished behind Southampton last year for god sake we ain’t amongst the footballing hierarchy who can stick their noses up at players with his ability.
