West Ham Miss Out On Another Target

West Ham United‘s hopes of signing striker Serhou Guirassy have been dashed, with Borussia Dortmund poised to finalise his transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

West Ham had expressed interest in Guirassy, but Borussia Dortmund emerged as the frontrunner early on. Their pursuit reportedly began in March, demonstrating a strong commitment to acquiring the French striker.

While open to a move to the Premier League or Serie A, Guirassy appears to have been swayed by Dortmund’s early interest, opting to remain in the Bundesliga.

With the Guirassy deal off the table, West Ham must shift its focus to other targets. New manager Julen Lopetegui has already brought in some reinforcements, but a new striker remains a top priority, especially with uncertainty surrounding Michail Antonio’s future.

Guirassy’s impressive goalscoring record in Germany made him a perfect fit for West Ham’s attacking style. The Hammers must now identify alternative options who can provide similar firepower.

It is far too early to start fretting, but West Ham needs to act quickly to secure a new striker before the transfer window closes. Missing out on another target could increase pressure on manager Lopetegui and the transfer team.

Yes. There’s ONLY 63 days and 17 and a half hours to go!

Bah gawd! Pedal to the metal boys! Man the decks! It’s a crisis!!

Never in a million years was this guy ever going to join West Ham.

He maintained all along he wanted to play in the Champions League and the ‘package’ ie the highest wages offered were his demands.

West Ham, at this stage, have no chance at all of being a team who would qualify for the Europa Leage, let alone the CL, and we simply could not afford his wages.

He’s left a team far, far better than us who qualified for the CL playing really wonderful football, and his career trajectory is up, not down several levels to West Ham.

Why anybody kept running the stories of us being in a chase with Dortmund ‘and other top clubs’ must only have been to raise the hope of Hammers fans and when he ‘turned us down’ they hoped for backlash against our owners and our ‘dithering’ recruitment team.

Same old frustrating west ham with transfers even without Divering Dave, linked to every player in the world yet won’t push the boat out on most of them and as usual will leave it till last few hours on their main targets to them miss out and say we ran out of time yet had over a month to sort this.

To be fair I’m not sure out granger strategy has changed from the scatter gun approach . Not sure Sullivan has released the purse strings . Seem to be missing out in a lot of so called targets .

I can’t really say I am surprised. He was hardly going to come to a club without European football when many others chasing could offer that and probably high wages. Showing interest and any realistic chance are two completely different things.
