West Ham United have missed out on the signing of Swedish left-back Samuel Dahl, with Roma set to secure the young defender’s services.

The Hammers had been monitoring Dahl’s progress at Djurgarden but have been beaten to the punch by the Italian side. Roma have agreed a €3 million fee for the 21-year-old, who is set to sign a contract with the Serie A club in the coming days.

Roma feel they are landing a potential star and Dahl made his senior debut for Sweden only earlier this year.

He comes from the same club that Tottenham Hotspur new boy Lucas Bergvall originally plied his trade for.

Dahl has impressed in Sweden and was seen as a potential long-term option for West Ham. However, the Irons will once again turn their attention to other targets as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

We were watching him 2 years ago but nothing since. I doubt if Tim or J Lo were interested in him

New one on me too. We cannot possibly be linked to the sheer number of rumours doing the rounds…

So it seems that Simon has been at his absolute best yet again (not!). 🙄

I must have missed any previous mention here relating to Swedish left-back Samuel Dahl. Amongs all the other cr*p stories about who we are apparently interested in, I do not recall any mention of him. Should I be heartbroken that we have missed out?
